Easy modak recipe: Here’s how to make modak

Palm sugar and grated coconut put in a hot pan. Then add nutmeg and saffron. Cook for another five minutes. Bring water and buffalo milk to a boil in a large saucepan. Add flour and salt. Mix. Cook the dish with the lid until half done. While the dough is still hot, knead thoroughly while coating the base of the steel pot with buttermilk. Now take a small amount of dough, shape it into a ball, flatten it and shape the edges into a flower shape. Fill the cake with flour and cover. Steam the dumplings for 10 to 15 minutes while they are wrapped in a felted cloth. Serve and enjoy!
