Galaxy Book 3 leak spills beans on Samsung’s latest laptop
Less than a week before the Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event, new images for Samsung’s upcoming product have surfaced laptop Series: Galaxy Book 3; more specifically the Pro, 360, Pro 360 and Ultra models.
Remember that these are leaked render from MySmartPrice (opens in a new tab) so maybe the final product will look a little different. If these images are to be believed, the new devices won’t look much different from the past Galaxy Book 2 line – Samsung did not reinvent the wheel design wisely. Other than that, all three will come with the same basic ports like a microSD card slot and a headphone jack. It looks like more significant changes will happen under the hood.
The Galaxy Book 3 Pro is said to come in two screen sizes, 14-inch and 16-inch options, both of which could feature 3K AMOLED displays. According to the leaks, customers can also choose between two processors – a 13th Gen Intel Core i5-1340P CPU or a Core i7-1360P CPU.
The battery will also vary depending on the size of the model. The 14-inch version may come with a 63W/hour (watt-hour) battery while the 16-inch version may have a larger 76W/hour battery. Rounding out the hardware, the Galaxy Book 3 Pro duo will come with 16GB DDR5 RAM, up to 1TB SSD, and an Iris XE GPU.
360 models
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Book 3 360 will have the ability to convert from a laptop to a tablet, hence the name. Leaked from the beginning of the month (opens in a new tab) shows that this model can launch with a screen size, 15 inches. That will make it a bit bigger than Notebook Galaxy Book 2 360. Very little is known about this model other than that it will be equipped with a 13th generation Intel Evo i7 CPU and a stylus; speculation is S Pen. The Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 will also launch with the same accessory.
Speaking of which, the Book 3 Pro 360 may have similarities to its more rigid counterpart. For starters, it is rumored that it will have the same 14-inch and 16-inch screen sizes and feature a Super AMOLED display at 3K resolution. According to the leak, that resolution goes up to 2880×1800 pixels, which means an aspect ratio of 16:10.
It hasn’t been confirmed yet whether the Book 3 Pro will have this same number of pixels, but it is safe to say that it will. The Pro 360 “will be available in two processor options” – the 13th Gen Intel Evo i5 1340p and i7-1360 integrated with the Iris Xe GPU. Alongside that chipset will be up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1 TB SSD for storage.
The Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 also comes with Dolby Atmos support for high-quality sound. It is currently unknown if other laptops will receive this feature.
Galaxy Book 3 Ultra
Information about Galaxy Book 3 Ultra (opens in a new tab) leaked earlier on January 21, and it certainly lives up to its name. This model will be launched with 13th generation Intel Core i9-13900H CPU and rumors NVIDIA RTX 4070 Graphics card’s existence is a mystery. The Book 3 Ultra is expected to feature a 16-inch, 3K AMOLED display (2880×1880 pixels).
Be careful with everything mentioned here as things can change at the last minute especially with the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra. Images and rumors about the RTX 4070 GPU are circulating on the internet, but there is no official word from NVIDIA.
Information about the base Galaxy Book 3 model has somehow not leaked, but we won’t wait too long to find out more. Samsung Unpacked 2023 is set for February 1. Be sure to check it out TechRadar reported on the event to update what is revealed.
