Gainesway Taps Larry Walton New Stallion Manager
Larry Walton has been appointed Gainesway’s new stallion manager, the farm announced October 17.
Walton, a native of Wall Township, NJ, received a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from the Pennsylvania College of Technology (Penn State) in 2001.
Walton has held key positions on some of the most prominent farms in the Thoroughbred industry. He began his career in Florida, first at Padua Stables and then spending 9 years at Adena Springs. From there, he moved to Spendthrift Farm in Kentucky, where he worked as an assistant stallion manager for three years. For the past 5 years, Walton has been a stallion manager at Hill ‘n’ Dale Farms.
Gainesway General Manager Brian Graves said: “I am delighted to announce Larry Walton as Gainesway stallion manager. “Larry has worked with our industry-leading stallions and brings Gainesway a wealth of experience and riding ability.”
