Gainesway Names Director Norton New Stallion


Gainesway Farms announced on October 20 that Ryan Norton has been appointed the ranch’s new stallion manager.

Norton was previously the stallion director at Darby Dan Ranch, a position he has held since 2005. Prior to that, he worked in the sales department of Darby Dan, joining in 2002 and working under Mr. Lynn Davis.

“I am pleased to announce that Ryan Norton has decided to join Gainesway as our stallion director,” said Gainesway general manager Brian Graves. “Ryan brings with him over 20 years of experience in his field. Ryan’s meticulous nature will make him the perfect person to provide our customers with a great experience when doing business. with Gainesway Farm.”

A native of Winchester, Ky., Norton grew up on a cattle and tobacco farm. He received a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Transylvania in 1997.

Norton said: “I am delighted to be joining the Gainesway team and having the opportunity to promote the list of best stallions in the industry. “My enthusiasm for the art of breeding has never waned and I am looking forward to new challenges.”

Gainesway made a recent addition to its stallion division earlier this week when the ranch appointed Larry Walton as their new stallion manager.

Gainesway Ranch, located in Lexington, is home to a list of seven stallions, including the perennial leader of the stallion. Tapit .
