Futures slip ahead of Fed minutes


U.S. stock futures fell as investors awaited another round of earnings from retailers and the minutes of the Federal Reserve’s July meeting.

Futures contracts tied to the S&P 500 fell 0.4 percent on Wednesday, suggesting the benchmark may turn lower after three straight sessions of gains. Contracts tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.2%, while contracts on the tech-focused Nasdaq-100 fell 0.4%.
