Futures slide after worst start in decades
U.S. stock futures fell at the start of the second half of the year, with investors bracing for more volatility amid rising inflation and expected interest rate hikes.
S&P 500 index futures fell 0.3% on Friday. The broad index closes lower on Thursday, plus additional losses to mark worst first half since 1970. Contracts on the technology-focused Nasdaq-100 fell 0.4% and Dow Jones Industrial Average futures fell 0.3%.
