Futures rose ahead of Jackson Hole

Stock futures rose in thin summer trade ahead of a slew of economic data and the annual gathering of central bankers in Jackson Hole, Wyo.

Stocks have rebounded in recent sessions as money managers await the Chairman of the Federal Reserve Speech by Jerome Powell in Wyoming on Friday. Some hope he will make the case to go ahead with rate hikes to rein in decades-high inflation, a stance that could blow away the mid-June frenzy. Another item on investors’ list of concerns is the massive slowdown in the Chinese economy.
