Futures recover after Dow enters bear market
U.S. stock futures rallied, sending the indexes above course to open higher after five days penalized by losses that pushed the Dow Jones Industrial Average into a bear market and sent the S&P 500 to its lowest level in nearly two years.
Futures contract tied to broad S&P 500 up 1% Tuesday, Dow futures rose 0.7% and tech-heavy Nasdaq-100 futures gained 1.2%. On Monday, the major indexes fell on concerns that rapidly rising interest rates could inflict pain on the economy.
