Futures drop as investors await this week’s Fed meeting
U.S. stock futures fell at the start of the trading week, as investors awaited Wednesday’s Federal Reserve interest rate decision and worried about the health of the U.S. economy.
Futures contracts tied to the S&P 500 fell 1.1% Monday, on pace to extend the benchmark index’s losses into a third straight session. Contracts tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 1%, while those tied to the tech-focused Nasdaq-100 fell 1.1%.
