Funtouch OS 13, an update for eligible Vivo devices based on Android 13, has been announced by the company. Funtouch OS 13 will be released as a successor to Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 12 and launched to eligible handsets last year.
The latest OS update for Vivo smartphones will come with a custom Android skin based on Android 13. Features of Funtouch OS 13
Major improvements over Vivo’s current version of Funtouch OS include an app pinning feature that will help users prevent other users from switching to other apps on their phone, improving control through iManager and a new stabilization ring in the viewfinder when taking pictures.
Funtouch OS 13 will also provide additional ways to customize the home screen, through additional capabilities in customizing icons to match the wallpaper background and system UI theme. Users will also be able to hide specific photos from the gallery app on their device, a feature that can be accessed via the three-dot menu in the gallery app on Funtouch OS 13.
Funtouch OS 13 also introduces a new application manager in iManager, Vivo’s solution to having all phone controls in one place. iManager will allow users to track app usage time while also allowing users to close apps with a single tap on the screen. IManager will also intelligently adjust the CPU frequency based on the phone’s cooling capacity.
Editing videos on Funtouch OS 13 will allow users to mute audio in selected segments of the video being edited.
Photo editing on Funtouch OS 13 can be activated on the viewfinder itself via a horizontal swipe, allowing users to select editing tools such as vibrance, brightness, contrast, and exposure. A vertical swipe on each editing tool will allow a value between +100 and -100, according to the company.
