Full Emergency Declared At Thiruvananthapuram International Airport
Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala:
A full state of emergency was declared at the International Airport here on Friday after a flight to Dammam from Calicut was diverted to the state capital due to suspected hydraulic failure.
The fight landed at the airport at 12:15 p.m., according to an airport source.
Sources said the tail section of Air-India Express IX 385, carrying 182 passengers, hit the runway while taking off from Calicut International Airport in the morning.
Sources told PTI that the flight landed at the airport after refueling over the Arabian Sea to facilitate a safe landing.
The airport management has declared a full-blown state of emergency.
