Time on Frog Island is a fun goofy looking sandbox game that puts you inside the shipwrecked boot of a stranded sailor on an island. He needs to repair his ship to escape and can only turn to the frog inhabitants of the island for help. Unfortunately, the sailor could not speak his own language and could only obtain the materials he needed by trading for them.
The core of the game involves navigating a trading web as you sprint across the island, figuring out different methods of gathering everything people need while solving puzzles. Keeping different items gives unique abilities, encouraging exploration and experimentation. Your captain protagonist also has a frog tongue for some reason, which you can use to capture distant items. When you’re not assembling your boat, you can relax with some fishing or farming. Time on Frog Island moves to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC this summer.
