Another transgender inmate has been given the green light to be transferred to a women’s prison in Scotland, Sky News has learned.
The latest controversy after the double rapist Isla Bryson is released from an all-female prison near Stirling this week after First Minister sturgeon Nicola was forced to intervene in the line.

It is believed that Scott will switch from the men’s wing to the all-female unit.

Cornton Vale is Scotland’s only all-women site, but female prisoners are also held in other prisons.
The Scottish Conservatives have told Sky News they want Ms Sturgeon to again block the move.

Equal rights party spokesman Rachael Hamilton MSP said: “It is absolutely appalling for such a violent and dangerous criminal to be sent to a women’s prison.
“It’s clear that Tiffany Scott continues to pose a serious risk to the safety of any woman who comes into contact with them – even trained prison staff.
“The idea that this violent individual could soon reach so many vulnerable women in our prison compound is truly disgusting.
“The safety of women must not depend on the wishes of violent criminals.
“Nicola Sturgeon has turned her head under public pressure to remove double rapist Isla Bryson from a women’s prison, now she must step in to stop this violent personal transfer before she can. it takes place, or deliberately risks the safety of some of Scotland’s most vulnerable women.”
The Scottish Prison Service (SPS) said it did not comment on individual cases, but confirmed it was drafting new proposals on dealing with transgender prisoners.
An SPS spokesman said: “We do not comment on individuals.
“SPS decisions about the most appropriate location to accommodate transgender people are made on an individual basis, based on a multidisciplinary assessment of both risk and need.
“Such decisions are intended to protect both the welfare and rights of individuals as well as the welfare and rights of others around them, including employees, in order to achieve an outcome that balances risks and promotes everyone’s safety.
“When there is any concern about any risk posed by an individual, to themselves or others, we have the ability to keep them separate from the mainstream community until a plan is in place. management has been agreed.”
A Scottish government spokesman said: “The placement of prisoners is an operational matter for the Scottish Prison Service, who use comprehensive individual risk assessments to make decisions. , such as the proper placement of transgender incarcerated people.
