French air traffic control strike cancels hundreds of flights

Earlier this week, France’s General Department of Civil Aviation warned that up to 50% of the country’s flights could be affected and urged passengers to contact airlines and postpone travel.

The French version of the Federal Aviation Administration, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, made every effort to prepare for the attack, but the country’s airports were halted. Europe’s largest airline, Ryan Air, canceled 420 flights on Friday morning. EasyJet, Air France and others will also be affected, Simply fly report.
