Frank Warren denies reports that Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury is done

Frank Warren has provided an update on a potential meeting between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury, and insists the fight isn’t over yet.

Reports broke earlier this week that the pair had agreed terms to lock horns on February 25 and end the chapter on a story that took place in the best part of a year.

However, Warren said iFL TV that, while the teams are close to reaching rubber stamping terms, the game is not over yet.

“I hope we’ll have an announcement soon, but until it’s done – it hasn’t been done.”

“It’s been going on for a long time and there’s been a lot of anticipation, everyone wants to see the fight.”

“Jake Paul is a great promoter and has done a great job himself, so obviously it will attract a lot of attention if it is perfected.”

Paul and Fury were due to play each other twice in 2022, however the British player withdrew on both occasions, once due to injury and then due to being denied entry to the United States.

The popular American YouTuber scored the best win of his professional boxing career to date in October, when he beat UFC legend Anderson Silva at Desert Diamond Arena.

Fury was last seen by fans during an exhibition competition in Dubai, where he shared the ring with Rolly Lambert during Floyd Mayweather vs Deji.

Rumors of a possible war in the Middle East have surfaced this week, however, but Warren’s comments may suggest it may be a bit premature to speculate on potential locations.
