Frank Warren Announces Fury-Usyk: “It’s Happening Boys”
Despite public demands, nasty parties, and late deadlines, Frank Warren has announced that Tyson Fury versus Oleksandr Usyk will win the undisputed heavyweight championship.
The fight seems unlikely on April 29 at Wembley Stadiumbut the hall of fame promoter is trying to prove all doubts wrong.
I said iFL TV It is not certain that, despite the reports of no contracts being signed and the constant back and forth between the teams, the fight happened.
“This war will happen. I don’t want to go in [deadlines] it’s not relevant. It’s all completely i-re-le-vant. The war is going on. End of story.”
“I announce the ongoing battle. What more can I say? It’s happening, boys. And that’s it. Do not worry.”
Warren isn’t fazed by the packed schedule, claiming that on ticket sales day, they’ll sell out in no time. As for Fury’s training, the promoter said he is ‘a top professional’ who will have plenty of time to prepare.
Warren remained more confident than most during the negotiations, and that makes good sense considering he was at the center of it all.
Fury’s latest message was to anger Usyk’s team over their short-lived end in terms of financial splits after they said the 70/30 deal would only apply if the bout could be on May 29. 4.
Warren expected the event to be record-breaking at Wembley Stadium, and intense negotiations certainly contributed to its hype.
However, remove all that and there will be a heritage-defining clash for the crown the first undisputed four-belt champion in boxing’s highest division.
Fans will be hoping Warren keeps his word so they can see two elite executives set an undefeated record to make history.
