If you’re planning a weekend getaway to London and want to indulge in some of its finest cuisine, Michelin restaurants will likely be your first stop. But with the capital having so many restaurants on offer, it can be difficult to decide where to book. These four Michelin restaurants are, in our opinion, not to be missed – read on to find out why.

Chez Bruce

This sophisticated restaurant abandons any pretentious interiors, with founder Bruce Poole avoiding media opportunities to focus on what really matters – the food. Seasonal produce and traditional cooking are at the heart of Chez Bruce’s The menu is influenced by French and Mediterranean. Everything from their homemade barbecue to their bread making is their ‘specialty’.

Chez Bruce’s store first opened in 1995, with the aim of providing the highest quality food and drink, in a more casual, intimate setting. Located right next to Wandsworth Common MRT station, Chez Bruce is easily accessible by train or bus.

Dining room at Goring

Favorite of both the Queen and Kate Middleton, The dining room is set inside the splendid Edwardian Hotel (The Goring), with the food as exquisite as the chandelier décor. Executive Chef Richard Galli oversees proud British dishes, ingredients sourced from across the British Isles. Among the royally approved dishes, you can find seasonal delicacies like Cornish wild Halibut, or estate Rhug lamb.

The dining room is more than a candlelit dinner, as their offerings extend to the breakfast and afternoon tea menus. End your meal with an old favorite, or try something new, at their cocktail bar.

Heston Blumenthal’s Dinner

Some might describe Heston as a scientist as well as a chef, with reputation for exciting yet shocking culinary ‘experiments’, from crab ice cream to giant KitKat. ‘Dinner‘was born from Heston’s passion for historic food, from the delicious ice cream of the late 1800s to the dishes depicted in CS Lewis’ beloved story, ‘Alice in Wonderland’.

Together with chef Ashley Palmer-Watts, Heston has devised a menu that transforms these historic culinary delights into a thoroughly modern dining experience. This innovative, modern approach has earned the restaurant two Michelin stars to date, not to mention dozens of other awards.

Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant

Gordon Ramsay’s reputation as a no-nonsense TV personality preceded him, from setting sassy restaurateurs on the right path in Kitchen nightmare to put the country’s best chefs through their paces in Hell Kitchen. By dining at ‘Restaurant‘you can go back in time to where it all started for the celebrity chef – this was Gordon’s first restaurant, which he founded in 1998, at the age of 31.

His core goal, to combine an intimate space (only 45 guests) with divine French cuisine, remains the main focus of the restaurant today.
