The former warden’s comments about the prison mirrored those of Diddy’s legal team. Marc Agnifilio and Teny R. Geragos described conditions at MDC-Brooklyn as “horrific” in their rejected $50 million bail proposal. They advocated for pretrial home confinement with GPS monitoring and surrender of passports for him, his mother and four daughters. Two judges said no, citing concerns about allegedly endangering potential witnesses.

Now, Lindsay told PEOPLE in a recent interview that the charges against Diddy could reverse his danger behind bars.
“His enormous celebrity status and the allegations of violence against women made him a very attractive target to attack,” Cameron Lindsay told the outlet. “And in the subculture – in the prison and jail world – it would be seen as a badge of honor to assassinate someone like him.”
The former warden added that the Brooklyn prison where Diddy was housed could be “cold” and “harsh,” meaning strict, rigid, or harsh. Everything is planned. That’s not life,” Lindsay is said to have shared.

The attorney confirmed that it was a routine procedure for “new, high-profile inmates”. Diddy is said to be “strong, healthy, confident and focused on his defense”, according to the attorney.
