Former Trump Organization senior executive Allen Weisselberg admits conspiring with company in 15-year tax fraud | US News
A longtime senior executive of the Donald Trump family business has pleaded guilty to co-conspiring with the company in a 15-year tax fraud case.
Allen Weisselberg, the former chief financial officer of the Trump Organization, pleaded guilty in a New York state court in Manhattan.
The 75-year-old can now be asked to testify against the company, also a defendant, at a criminal trial scheduled for October.
Weisselberg is not expected to cooperate with Manhattan prosecutors in their larger investigation into Mr. Trump himself, a person familiar with the matter said.
Mr. Trump has not been charged or accused of misconduct.
Despite Weisselberg’s refusal to cooperate, his guilty plea will likely strengthen prosecutors’ case against Mr. Trump’s company, which has pleaded not guilty.
