Jason Peters officially became the Dallas Cowboy yesterday by explode Philadelphia Eagles fan base. Although these are the fans who have the guts to go crazy when you throw a snowball at Santa Claus or boo Beyoncé and Destiny’s Child. They are even known to throw the battery in the player. Sure, those things happened years ago, but it still happens. You did it, so you can own it too.
These fans cheered as Michael Irvin lay damn near lifeless on the pitch pitch at the old Veterans Stadium – which has a prison and courthouse below – after injuring his spine during a game in 1999. To say the fans in Philly can be frantic is a way of saying too much. But coming from the city where Extreme Champion Wrestling originated in the mid-1990s, it doesn’t come as a shock.

The timing of this Peters comment comes just days before he returns to Philly for the first time as a Cowboy. Philly fans will probably boo Peters anyway for coming to Dallas, but now he’s added fuel to the fire, as if this grudge-filled matchup needed anything more.
Dallas and Philly are helping to restore NFC East to prominence, as it’s been the worst division in the NFL over the past few years. It’s still early in the season, but the Eagles, Cowboys, and Giants look like contenders for the first month of action.
Now that the former All-Pro player fired the first shot, let’s see which Eagles players retaliate in the next few days leading up to Sunday night in the prime time slot. This is one of the fiercest competitions in the league, and it’s always been personal between these teams, regardless of the participants.
