New Delhi:

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has resigned from Parliament.

Responding to Mr Reddy’s resignation, Parliament leader and Lok Sabha MP Manickam Tagore said those who got everything from the party and finished the Andhra Pradesh Congress will now leave the BJP.

Mr. Reddy was the last chief minister of Andhra Pradesh intact.

In a letter dated 11 March to the chairman of the National Assembly Mallikarjun Kharge, Mr Reddy wrote: “Please accept this letter as my resignation from the position of principal member of the Indian Parliament. ” Reddy had previously resigned from Parliament in 2014 because of the then UPA government’s decision to split Andhra Pradesh and separate Telangana.

He founded his own political Jai Samaikyandhra Party but returned to Parliament in 2018.
