On Wednesday, Ford unveiled the 10th and final special edition of its GT supercar.
The latest is the Ford GT LM Edition 2022 which, as its name suggests, is a celebration of Le Mans’ many successful 24-hour GT nameplates, from End of GT40’s one-two-three history at the 1966 race, up to GT’s current class victory at the 2016 race.
The car is available in silver for the main color and buyers will be able to choose between red or blue for the accents, two in addition to the white featured on the GT that won the 2016 Le Mans race. Buyers You can also choose to expose the carbon fiber of the gaseous elements to an accent color shade.

The pop of color also extends into the cabin, where it’s featured on the driver’s seat, engine start button and cross stitching in various locations. The rest of the cabin is black, while carbon fiber stands out on the center console, center stack and lower A-pillar.
The unique feature of the GT LM Edition is the 3D printed titanium exhaust with a tornado-shaped design inside the mufflers. There is also a small “GT LM” badge, also in titanium, located above the exhaust tips.
The car is also directly related to the 2016 Le Mans race. Ford has the disassembled engine of the number 69 GT race car which comes third in the class, and the automaker has ground the crankshaft of this engine into a powder that is mixed into the mix to eventually be 3D printed into a badge on the dash.
Ford GT LM version 2022
The GT Special Edition does not come with any powertrain mods. This means that the GT LM Edition is powered by a standard 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 that produces 660 hp. The engine is connected to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and only spins the rear wheels.
Only 20 GT LM Edition models will be produced. Deliveries will begin this fall and will end later this year in GT . production it’s finally come to an end after four years of running.
Note, the special edition cars do not increase the total number of 1,350 units produced for this generation of GT.
