Ford will open orders for Mustang Mach-E for 2023 model next week

is set to open orders for the 2023 model in the year after the 2022 model is sold out. You’ll have a chance to order one of the EVs starting August 30. Additionally, Ford has some prices, ranges and other changes.

Premium Mach-Es built starting this fall with extended range batteries will have an estimated EPA range of 290 miles on all-wheel drive models. That’s a 13-mile increase in range. Meanwhile, Ford Co-Pilot360 driver assistance technology is now standard on all versions.

If you choose the Premium model with extended range battery or the GT Performance version, you’ll be able to choose the Mustang Nite Pony package. This includes 19-inch high-gloss black wheels and black horse badging, black front and rear lower fenders, black door panels and mirror caps on the grille for premium trim. This package brings 20-inch high-gloss black wheels and black GT badging to the GT Performance version. You will still be able to choose any exterior color option with this package.

There will be two new colors to choose from: metallic carbon gray and slightly metallic blue. They replace the dark gray matter and the blue-green stone. The California Route 1 version will only be available as an AWD option in the future, as Ford is discontinuing a rear-wheel drive option based on customer demand. Meanwhile, Ford will replace the black roof on the and the GT Performance version has a panoramic sunroof.

Just like the way things are in the automotive world (and ), Mach-E prices will increase for new orders, effective Tuesday. Ford said this was due to “significantly increased raw material costs, continued strain on key supply chains, and rapidly evolving market conditions.” Like pointed out, the price increase is from $2,600 to about $8,000 over the 2022 price. As such, the Mustang Mach-E will start at $46,895 MSRP (not including shipping or taxes) for the session. Select rear-wheel drive standard version.
