Ford Bronco Heritage Edition will be extremely limited
It’s been more than two years since we started production of the new Ford Bronco, and buyers are still either loving it or waiting to get their hands on one. Between flippers, agent mark, order delay and production issues, it can be difficult if you’re a pre-booker or interested Bronco buyer. And Ford continues to feed that flame of complexity with Bronco Heritage Editions. Those versions, as Bronco Nation indicates that, there will be limits both on how many and who can get one – so the odds could be beneficial to you.
Later this summer, Ford dropped special editions inspired by the retro styling of the Bronco and Bronco Sport to potential buyers. And while it was initially believed that special editions would be available on all Broncos spanning two to four models and all trims, it’s not quite so simple.
For starters, the versions themselves, while seemingly similar, are quite different. The Heritage Edition is the version that most buyers will have a better chance of using. There is no definite production limit, so Ford is making these as many as people order. It’s available on two- and four-door Broncos, but you can only get it in one configuration: Big Bend with a 2.7-liter Ecoboost engine and a 10-speed automatic. However, it comes with the Sasquatch package as standard. Prices start at $44,305. But there is one catch with this edition: that is only available to those with existing Bronco orders/reservations. To get one, you must convert your existing order to a Legacy edition order by the November 21, 2022 deadline.

The Heritage Limited Edition is a bit more exclusive, which will be a bit more of a hassle to get your hands on. It’s based on the Badlands trim, with a two- or four-door configuration, and is also only available with the 2.7-liter Ecoboost engine and 10-speed automatic. The Heritage Limited does come standard with Sasquatch package as well. Pricing starts at $66,895. Production is capped at 1,966 for two-doors and 1,966 for four-door models.
This Limited edition might be more of a mess to your hands on, as you can’t order it. According to Bronco Nation, dealers will receive at least one for either the 2023 or 2024 model year, and have the right to sell it to anyone. In that case, Bronco Nation suggest interested buyers contact their agent to see if they may be able to obtain a listing or how they will handle the Estate allocation. Oh, and Ford is so cute price protection in effect on the Heritage Edition, but not on the Limited Edition – so you’ll want to brace yourself for sticker shock.
