Here 1964 Dune Buggy It is described in its advertisement as a “Manx Replica” but if you look at the dual nostrils and 2+2 seating, you can see it deviates slightly from that mark. However, it looks equally interesting and also seems to be in great shape.
According to the advertisement, the car uses a 1964 Volkswagen Type 1 chassis and has a 1600 cc VW 4-cylinder engine in the rear. The Transaxle, naturally, is a four-speed manual. The odometer is said to be broken, so the mileage of those repairmen is unknown.
This is not a pony as it is claimed to be street legal and actually carries a license plate with what appear to be current tags. However, it can’t go 100% because it doesn’t have a windshield wiper and any other kind of turn signal other than an outstretched or bent arm. There is a slight bump on the pad to place the former and the seller says that the latter comes with the car and just needs to be installed.
All existing lights are LED, consisting of a horizontal light bar mounted on top of the cage. The ad claims the metal rear roof panels are removable. There doesn’t seem to be any other kind of weather protection on the car but that doesn’t matter as this is not something you would do a rescue mission during a storm or something like that.

The fiberglass looks solid and the tires seem a little tacky so there doesn’t seem to be much to do to fix the problem other than fitting the turn signals and possibly some wipers.
