American investment firms are likely to score quite a few goals with their European football teams. A few of them have the potential to translate into decent profits.
On Wednesday, Italy’s AC Milan officially moved from one American owner to another: Gerry CardinalePrivate equity firm RedBird Capital Partners has taken over Elliott Management, completing the acquisition announced in June. RedBird, which controls France’s Toulouse FC and has a stake in UK owner Liverpool FC , also said the New York Yankees baseball franchise would take a minority stake.
