Fog of War: PUBG Mobile announces new anti-cheat system
This new anti-cheat system is initially available to select groups on specific maps. During the testing phase, the software was able to reduce fraud by 50%. The developers also mentioned that a 62% reduction in the number of cheats was achieved in certain regions during the rollout.
A video depicting the anti-cheat system in Fog of War was also uploaded from the game’s official YouTube account. The video demonstrates how to prevent fraudsters from seeing through walls and other objects.

When the system catches cheaters, it gives them’Ban Pan‘ which blocks them from using that account, and sometimes the developers also block some devices from being used in the game.
How it works
Krafton described how Fog of War works in a statement to EuroGamer. The game’s publisher explained that the “advanced anti-cheat system” limits the in-game information players receive. This reduces their ability to find their opponents “out of their sight or through walls and objects”.
At first, the Fog of War system scans all the buildings and terrain present on the map of PUBG Mobile. The system then determines what the player will see using internal calculations. This allows them to send specific information from the server back to the player. Thus, the system prevents “X-ray vision fraudsters” by limiting all invisible information.
