Runner-up Nunthorpe Platinum Queen will bid to get back on track to winning the Flying Childers Stakes at the Doncaster’s St Leger meeting.
Overwhelmed by dominating her rivals in a qualifying event at Goodwood, Richard Fahey justified the audacity of her ties in York last week by beating all of the Highfield bars Princess, was added to take on her elder at a cost of £40,000.
Cotai Glory’s daughter is currently preparing to return to the age of two in Group Two company in Town Moor next month, where she is expected to prove hard to beat.
Tom Palin, track manager for owner Middleham Park Racing, said: “Flying Childers is really the obvious race. It will be interesting to see how we go and who else shows up, but that’s it. logical choice and the right choice, going back to Group Two against her own age group.
“In theory, she should do another believable race. You don’t just get Group Twos – you have to go out and win. But if she’s in the same shape as her in Nunthorpe, you would imagine her to be the one they had to beat.
“It would be great if she’s back to the front. Obviously we’ve got lowercase black in Group One, but if we can get some kind of black uppercase by winning that’s fine. That’s great.”
Victory at Doncaster will have the Middleham Park team weighing even more ambitious goals, with the Prix de l’Abbaye at ParisLongchamp, Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket and even a trip to America for the Breeders’ Cup All both are in the molten pot.

“If we can win the Flying Childers, we can go and have some fun in the fall of her two-year career,” Palin added. “We’re in Abbaye and I imagine that would be in sight if it weren’t so soft in Paris.
“We’re at Cheveley Park and if she hits the line in Childers, going six extensions might be within her reach. She obviously has a lot of speed, but she’s been consistent. ahead, so I won’t rule over Cheveley Park looming over any image of the imagination.
“Breeders’ Cup is definitely a November target too, so she still has a few more dance steps to dance to between now and winter break.
“They’re lovely options to consider and I think she’ll have at least three more starts this year, one in Group Two and two in Group One company, so it’s super exciting.”
