Florida teenagers accepted into 27 colleges, including Harvard received scholarships

A Florida teen who has applied to some of the nation’s top universities, including Harvard, MIT and Johns Hopkins, says he’s been accepted to all 27 of the schools on his list.
Jonathan Walker, 18, said he also received a scholarship of up to $4 million.
Walker, a senior at Rutherford High School in Panama City, said he wants to maximize his chances of getting into a good university by applying to a variety of schools. Walker said he considered schools where he could see himself as a student but was surprised how many colleges offered him admission.
Walker’s high school career included a lot of extracurricular activities, such as varsity football, science clubs and the International Baccalaureate program.

Walker told the Panama City News Herald, an American newspaper TODAY. network. “I feel like I am a product of the community that has surrounded me and has driven my growth.”
Walker said he plans to major in electrical engineering and biomedical engineering dual. His goal is to develop technology to help people with disabilities as well as disadvantaged communities.
Walker has yet to decide which university to attend.
