A Florida teacher has been arrested and fired from a $7,000-a-year private Christian school after she teased an 18-year-old boy at prom and forced him to drink.
Julie Hoover, 39, was arrested September 6 after she allegedly put a straw containing alcoholic beverages in the mouth of a teenager and danced on top of him, according to the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office.
Hoover was pursuing prom at Point of Grace Christian School on April 8 when a student accused her of dancing on top of him.

An unnamed school official commented on Hoover’s first arrest but did not provide details about the charges against the former teacher.
‘Grandma. Hoover is a former Point of Grace Christian teacher,’ a school official told WCTV. ‘We will not provide further information about her employment or leaving school.

Hoover was first arrested on June 8 after the mother of an 18-year-old told police that her son had received explicit text messages on his phone from his teacher.
The mother testified that Hoover was trying to lure the teenager into her home while her husband was away.

She was released a day after her initial arrest with a sum of $15,000, according to WCTV News.
