Flipkart’s Flipkart Metaverse Shopping Experience: How to Use and What You Can Buy


E-commerce giant Flipkart announced the launch of Flipverse, a super-diverse shopping platform for consumers, on October 17. Flipkart has partnered with Web3 companies such as eDAO and Polygon to debut. The first phase of Flipverse is only available to Android users and will run until October 23. You can access Flipverse through the FireDrops section of Flipkart’s Android app.

Now consumers can also try out virtual reality shopping experiences with Overturned. Fifteen brands including Puma, Nivea, Tokyo Talkies, Himalaya and VIP were on board, and about 100 products display in Flipverse. Supercoins and digital collectibles have also been extended to Flipverse.

“Flipverse helps bridge the best online and offline shopping experiences: giving brands a new way to tell their stories, connecting with shoppers on a more personal, spatial level immersive has products on display inside,” added the e-commerce platform.

Here’s how you can shop in Flipverse

  1. Go https://firedrops.flipkart.com/qr-page.html on your PC.
  2. Click ‘Enter Flipverse’ and scan the code on the screen with your Android smartphone.
  3. You will be redirected to the FireDrops app. Choose a username.
  4. Tap Menu and select Flipverse.
  5. Your avatar will enter Flipverse. Available products will be displayed.
  6. You can navigate using the on-screen controls and view the deals on offer.

Several e-commerce companies are leveraging technology to introduce new shopping features to consumers. About three weeks ago, Amazon, has launched Amazon Live in India, a live video streaming feature to promote products on their platform. Amazon has partnered with social media influencers to host live streams to create interactive shopping experiences for customers.
