Flight path to enter Stud for $200,000
Flight route who retired from Lane’s End Farm undefeated after an extended 8/4 win at the Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) on November 5, will hold out for the 2023 season for $200,000, farm announced on 9 November.
Flightline, a 4-year-old son of Tapit out of the Indian mare Charlie Feathered, bred by Jane Lyon’s Summer Wind Farm and raced by Summer Winds in partnership with Hronis Racing, Siena Farm, West Point Thoroughbreds and Woodford Racing. He was coached by John Sadler and ridden by Flavien Prat in all six starts. In addition to the Breeders’ Cup Classic, Flightline won the TVG Pacific Classic (G1), the Metropolitan Handicap (G1) and the Malibu Stakes (G1). He is the world’s highest rated racehorse in 2022 with the number 139, and is the highest rated dirt horse of all time.
