Rapper and hypeman Flav cake flavor is sharing more about her past drug addiction. And revealed that he spends up to 2,600 USD per day on this 6-year habit.
Flavor Flav revealed on an episode of “Off The Record” with DJ Akademiks
The 63-year-old recently sat down with DJ Akademiks and explained that he “maintained” himself “very well” while addicted to the substance.
And not only that but I hid it… So, you know, a lot of people didn’t really i know. They’re trying to figure it out… Because I’ve never really let people know exactly what I’m doing.
Flav explained that he only revealed his habit to others after he was “tired of it”.
There comes a time and a point in your life when you get tired of s**t… Mostly when it doesn’t help you stand out.
Flav reveals how much his drug addiction costs him every day
The 63-year-old revealed that at one point he spent between $2,400 and $2,600 a day, for “six years straight” on drugs.
You do the math… That’s how much I spend on drugs every day.
Flav explained that he “had a lot of money at the time.” But he just “does the wrong thing” with it.
I guess God wants me to live. And he knew that I was the mouthpiece of the world, so I felt like God let me live through that moment so I could teach people about the mistakes I made. And hopefully, they don’t make them…
The rapper explained that “the pill is easy to take.” But they are “very hard to get rid of.”
Flavor Flav recently celebrated two years of sobriety
Based on EVERYONEthe rapper celebrated his two years of sobriety in October. Back in 2011, the rapper published a book detailing his crack addiction, as reported by TMZ.
Today, Flav is unhappy to see the promotion of drug use in society and music and its negative impact on young people.

Now music today, we are talking about drug use. So there’s been a big change in the music… It’s getting the little kids wrong.
