Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes Preview – Extracurricular Activities

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes is another part of the famous strategy franchise from the hands of Omega Force – the developers of Fire Emblem Warriors on Switch and 3DS. The Koei Tecmo-owned studio is best known for the Dynasty Warriors series and offers other series like The Legend of Zelda, Dragon Quest, Gundam and One Piece hack-and-slash upgrades. Three Hopes is the latest translation of the Fire Symbol world.

Warriors takes fan-favorite characters and classic heroes like Marth, Tiki, and Lyn from Fire Emblem’s history and lets them battle alongside newer faces from Fates and Awakening, such as Chrom , Robin, Corrin and Lucina. Rather than borrow from the decades-old stories of Fire Emblem, Three Hopes seems to focus clearly on the events and characters of Fire Emblem: Three Houses 2017.

Three Houses takes place in a military officer school located in a monastery called Garreg Mach Monastary. The trained officers included nobles and citizens from three rival and temporarily peaceful nations, all of whom held territories on the common continent of Fódlan. The player’s replacement, Byleth, becomes a professor at the academy, guiding these young souls in the classroom and leading them on the battlefield.

Three Hopes brings players back to Fódlan and reunites us with Garreg Mach’s brilliant students. There’s no word yet on when this story takes place, whether it’s a canon or if it might interact with the stories filmed in Three Houses. Anyone who’s played Three Houses knows an event that took place in the main campaign that broke the armistice between the nations, causing indelible rifts in the students’ relationships and forcing them to side in the war for supremacy. Like previous Warriors titles in and out of the Fire Emblem series, we know we can expect the beloved characters to return in some form, and we’ve already seen some in the trailer revealed by Nintendo. revealed so far.

One recent story trailer for Three Hopes displays outstanding students from each of the three factions entering the battlefield under new banners: Scarlet Blaze, Azure Gleam, and Golden Wildfire, with some even fighting the same faction. You will play as Shez, a new character fighting against the “Ashen Demon”, an entity that takes the form of the protagonist of the Three Houses, Byleth. Each of the memorable returning characters is identical to their pre-war design, giving credence to this entry that takes place in a time of chaos that ignores or recounts the events of the Three Houses.

No matter where this story continues on the timeline, we are delighted to be back on the battlefields of Fódlan with our favorite students. Once again, the rules of turn-based strategy will be pushed aside in favor of Warrior action scenarios, where hundreds of infantry will inevitably fall to the mighty force of the once-schooled officers. Garreg Mach. We won’t have to wait long for this classy reunion, as Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes will release on Switch on June 24.
