For many people, Bob Odenkirk is a titan of television. his work on Mr. Show with Bob and David, The Larry Sanders Show, Tom goes to see the mayor, Breaking Badand the next spin-off, Better Call Saul – along with countless other credits – has shown him to be a master of comedy and drama. For most of his career, there’s been one person who’s been through its ups and downs: his wife, Naomi Odenkirk. For over 25 years, Naomi has been by Bob’s side and not just his significant other. Naomi has a hand in his career – and the careers of others. But, who is Bob Odenkirk’s wife — and the mother of his children? Read to find out.

Naomi Odenkirk Is a Producer & Talent Manager

Born Naomi Yomtov, the woman who will marry Bob in 1997 has been working behind the scenes in Hollywood for quite some time. She worked as an assistant at talent management agency William Morris, where she “searched for new talent at comedy clubs across Los Angeles,” according to a 2014 profile in dissipated. At that time, she represented Jenna Fischer, Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, Casey Wilson, And the waters of Derek (both from Drunk history). She is said to have discovered Bill Hated while he was working as a production assistant for Frank International Film Festivala short comedy for the DVD release of the debut film directed by Bob Odenkirk, Melvin went to dinner.

“It was amazing,” said Hader dissipated. “Naomi jumped up and said, ‘I think you’ll get the show!’ That’s what I love about her. No bullshit *t. You can also tell that she’s really curious and appreciates comedians and good material.”

Naomi also manages Bob. “It’s been hard for a long time,” said Bob The Wall Street Journal about Naomi being his manager. “In the case of Naomi, a really smart, understanding and opinionated person… you want your wife or partner to care about how you feel, not the matter itself. If I say to Naomi, ‘oh, I wrote this pilot. I moved it in [and] the net said they didn’t like it,’ I don’t want her to say, ‘um, they’re right.’”

“We found a way to work together,” said Naomi dissipated work with her husband. “There are years when we don’t even think about it, emotions will be hurt.”

“I can be pretty straightforward, so I think I hurt her feelings a few times, especially when I didn’t like something she liked,” says Bob. dissipated. “But Naomi has heard her critiques better and I have heard them better. That goes for anyone, whether you’re married to them or not.”

Naomi knew right away that she was destined to marry Bob

In 1994, while Naomi was working for William Moris, she stopped by UnCabaret in West Hollywood. It was there that she saw Bob take the stage to talk about her growing up, weaving a humorous story about growing up in the Midwest with six siblings and an absent alcoholic father.

Naomi said: “A week later, while driving around to do errands, I thought: That’s the man I’m going to marry. dissipated. “That’s how it popped into my head. I was bothered at first. I have no intention of getting married. In fact, I am very career minded. But I can’t ignore this thought. That night, I came home and told my roommates, ‘I know which man I’m going to marry. But I’m ashamed that I don’t really know him yet.’”

Eighteen months passed as Naomi continued to work and watch Bob perform. Finally, the opportunity came and they chatted outside a comedy club in Santa Monica. He asked for her number. She gave it to him. Two months later, they were exclusively dating. In 1997, they entered the aisle and became husband and wife.

She is the reason why we have Better Call Saul

Bob has reason to trust his wife’s sensibilities. Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan called Naomi because he wanted Bob to play lawyer Saul Goodman in the show’s second season. Bob had never seen an episode before when Gilligan called, and he was hesitant to take the role. Naomi pushes him to say yes.

“He has to see me in a different light,” Naomi said. “ABOVE Breaking Bad, he just appeared as an actor. He didn’t write it; he didn’t create it. He has faced a paradigm shift in his career from being a director and creator of comedy. It’s exciting to see him take an opportunity like that and follow through on it.”

Bob accepted the role and it became one of the defining moments in his life and career.

She is also a mother.

In addition to helping the careers of some of the biggest comedians of the past two decades, Naomi gave birth to her two children and Bob. They welcome their son Nate 1998 and their daughter erin in the year 2000.
