A few hours later, the boy’s body was found in a borrowed hole. Police suspect his death was due to drowning without any crime being committed. However, his mother, Demetric, is speaking up and explaining that her son is afraid of water. She said he would never go near it.

According to Carter, Noah Bush left home around 5:00 pm on Wednesday, May 15 to join a few older white children in the neighborhood.
However, as nighttime approached, Bush never returned. The next day, Carter said, “Demetrice’s worst fears came true.”
“When they told me where he was actually found, I found it meaningless because my son has always been afraid of water,” Demetrice said to Carter.
Demetrice told Carter that her son would stay away from water slides and rides. The mother eventually questioned how her son’s body came to be found in a hole in the ground at the construction site.
According to Noah’s grandmother, Valerie Jernigan, police immediately ruled out foul play in the 8-year-old boy’s death.
“I immediately asked: ‘Do they suspect any foul play?’ And the detective said no. I mean, right then and there, the detective said ‘no’” Jernigan said to Carter.
Furthermore, the grandmother alleged that Demetrice was prevented from seeing her son.
This is why the mother is searching for “the truth”
According to Carter, police informed the public that Noah was believed to have “taken off his shoes” and was ready to wade into the water. However, Demetrice was not satisfied with this conclusion.
“I’m not getting any real information about who they’re talking to, who they’re investigating, how my child was found, how he got in. [the water] – no one told me anything,” Demetrice said to Carter.
