Platinum Games developer and publisher Square Enix has revealed that Babylon’s Fall will close next year, less than a year after its launch on March 3 of this year.
More specifically, Platinum Games will terminate the service of the game on February 27, 2023. As for the reason, the team did not really state the reason but it could be due to the game’s poor launch and lack of players since there. Square Enix attempted to fix the game’s problems by send players a survey asking them how the team can improve the game and soon after, Platinum Games said they have “There are no plans to scale down development on the fall of Babylon.” Looks like things have changed since the Fall of Babylon will fall early next year.
“With the desire to deliver an exciting online multiplayer action role-playing game set in a high-end fantasy world, we launched the game’s official service on Thursday, March 3, 2020. 2022 and continue to carry out additional activities and developments”, a statement read. “However, we regret to inform you that we will be terminating the game’s service on February 27, 2023.

As for what might happen after the game’s status is terminated, Platinum Games said to exercise caution as its schedule is subject to change without notice. It also says that after the service ends on Monday, February 27, 2023, at 11 p.m. PT/2 a.m. ET, you will no longer be able to play the game and all play data The game on the game’s server will be deleted.
