‘Faith Grows Big’ Freddie Freeman Won’t Return to Braves?
The Atlanta Braves have ended their 26-year World Series title drought in 2021, and most agree that wouldn’t have been possible without the contribution of number one star Freddie Freeman. The 32-year-old former National League Player of the Year is leaving the field after the season he led the NL to a career-high 120 runs, becoming the fifth All-Star team and winning a Silver. Slugger third in a row.
Freeman is still in his prime and has spent a full 12 years of his MLB career with Atlanta. However, with the league still in lockdown, the second-round draft pick has previously been one of the most discussed free agents in the game.
Now, according to ESPN’s Buster Olney, there seems to be a real chance that Freeman played his final competition in a Braves uniform.
