Facebook now supports NFTs | Engadget


Meta yes follow through above it threat promise to bring NFT support (non-fungible token) for Facebook. Users can now post digital collections they have in their digital wallets on Facebook and Instagram. After they connect the digital wallet to an app, they will be able to access the NFT from both.

The company is move a few weeks after it extended access for Instagram’s NFT functions in dozens of other countries. It started testing NFT on Facebook early this summer. Meta is moving deeper into NFT territory even though the digital token market has live in recent months. There are signs that Meta is working on a marketplace where anyone can buy and sell NFT, but whether people will actually use it remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, here’s a performance of the MTV Video Music Awards by Snoop Dogg and Eminem, featuring animated versions of their NFTs. Considering the bleak outlook for the near future, Our Last nothing about this.
