Fable of Bugs, Awesome Paper Mario-like Role-Playing Game, Gets a Surprising Anniversary Update
If, in the late 2010s, you were craving a new Paper Mario game, then you probably picked up Moonsprout Games’ The Fable of Errors: The Everlasting Young TreeA great paper-themed turn-based RPG. It arrived on Switch half a year after its PC release (in May 2020) and has proved popular.
However, 5 years after its release on PC, Moonsprout Games suddenly released a free update for the game. What a treat!
Continue SteamMoonsprout has listed all the new additions, which are also available on Switch. There’s a brand new post-game boss fight for those who want a real challenge, 11 new medals including a special medal that allows you to team up with allies, a new music track and a puzzle minigame new fish.
There are also some quality of life improvements — Vi’s boomerang can now lock to the nearest 8 directions, water drops now have a grace period so you can freeze objects more easily and various small (haaa…) language fixes have also been made.
Bug Fables is available now on the Switch eShop. A physical release was made available through Limited Run GamesBut it’s out of stock so you’ll have to buy it again. It was worth it – we scored August 10 in 2020.
