Explain: What is the dynamic rotation of the iPhone 14 Pro? Here’s how it works

Upper notch Iphone is being replaced. However, it is not yet available on all 2022 iPhones. Apple is moving to a new design on its high-end models. While the new non-Pro iPhone 14 and iPhone Plus share the same old notch, the two new ‘Pro’ iPhones have a new pill-shaped cutout that replaces last year’s smaller, notch. It’s not just a notch; that is “Dynamic island“.
What is a dynamic island?
What exactly is Dynamic Island? You can request. In a word, it is an island, unpretentious, as it is in the midst of a sea of bright and very dynamic pixels. Instead of being a cutout like every other smartphone has, Apple has made its pill-shaped cut the core of the ‘Pro’ iPhone experience.
Although it’s smaller than the notch, it still has the usual Face ID sensors and a front-facing camera inside the cutout, making it big enough for a phone. So Apple turned the cutout into a notification center that displays dynamic notifications or you can say interactive notifications.
Dynamic Island stretches to show different types of notifications. Let’s say you’re playing music; Notifications appear in a banner that extends from the cutout, while the Face ID unlock animation is shown in a square. It also shows the battery of your AirPods and Apple Watch.
“Dynamic Island blurs the line between hardware and software, dynamically expanding into different shapes to clearly convey mission-critical activities,” Apple said.
So what happens when you tap Dynamic Island? Well, it expands the notifications further to show detailed information. Operations such as navigation or order tracking show up as Direct notificationand a person can touch and hold to expand to show more information.
In short, it changes shape and size, hence Dynamic Island.

How does the island work?
Apple hasn’t said much about what’s going on in the technology behind this, but if anyone guesses, this is being achieved with the new A16 Bionic chip, has enough AI capabilities to do such a thing. So maybe this could be the reason why iPhone 14 not Pro and iPhone 14 Plus don’t have this feature as they have older version A15 Bionic Chips. Well, that’s a pure guess. We’ll have to wait for Apple to detail the process behind the scenes of Dynamic Island; only then can we know how much fun they have made.
What applications does Dynamic Island support?
So far, we’ve only seen a few, but the list won’t be limited as Apple will give third-party apps a chance to use Dynamic Island.

  • Apple Music
  • Phone
  • Apple Wallet
  • Map
  • Voice memos
  • Clock
