(Exclusive Video) GloRilla donates $25K to her alma mater

GloRilla blessed her alma mater, Martin Luther King Jr. College Preparatory High School, in Memphis, TN, with a $25,000 donation to support the school’s Fine Arts program on Thursday.

Principal Chiquita Perry said: “We are incredibly proud of Ms. Woods and grateful for her acts of service, leadership and camaraderie to her community. Because of her talent and success, her generous donation will be used to support the MLK Fine Arts program. “

She continued:

We are proud of her success, but even more proud that she wants to help other students in her community.

GloRilla says she’s “lucky” to be able to return to her alma mater.

I want to put more in the music program. Because you know, like, we have no background. Like a lot of kids, we don’t get the background,” she said. Always from church or from school where you can follow your dreams.

GloRilla’s Breakthrough Moment

The 22-year-old became famous after her 2022 song, the song ‘FNF’, went viral. Soon after, she signed with Yo Gotti’s CMG label, and he give rapper $500,000 in cash.

In a press release, she said:

It took me years of hard work to get to this point and I was fortunate to be signed to the most famous music label with CMG. I showed this moment and believed in my talent even when others didn’t. I am grateful to Gotti for believing in me and I will not give up. Trust me there will be new heat along the way.
