John Aniston is an actor of Greek descent who began his career in 1962 with a cameo on the show Area 87. He appeared on many shows that are still popular to this day, including Airwolf, Gilmore Girls, The West Wing, Star Trek: Voyager, and Crazy Men. John is best known for appearing on Days of Our Lives in over 3,000 episodes. He joined the show in 1970 as Dr. Eric Richards. He returned to the show in 1985, when he was cast as Victor Kiriakis, and he remains a main character on the show until 2022. John has won three awards. Soap Opera Digest award for his work in Days of Our Lives. He was also nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for the 2017 Daytime Emmy Awards, and he was also awarded an Emmy. Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022.

In June 2022, five months before John’s death, Jennifer honor her father in Daytime Emmy Awards. She gave an emotional speech when presenting John with a lifetime achievement award. Jennifer’s speech, seen above, was pre-recorded and John was not present at the ceremony.
“This is an opportunity to not only honor a true icon in the world of daytime television, but also an opportunity to recognize the lifetime achievements of a great and respected actor who is also my father,” Jennifer said in her speech. She went on to list all the TV projects her father was involved in. “You name it, I’m sure he was on it,” Jennifer quipped.
