Blake shelton is one of the biggest stars in country music today. The Green Red River singer-songwriter, 46, has written numerous successful albums and he has been nominated for nine Grammy Awards throughout his career. Besides his music, he is also one of the coaches of the hit singing competition show voice for several seasons, although he has announced that season 23 will be his last in October 2022.
Over the course of his career, Blake has written a number of different love songs over the years and he has been married to three different women. Kaynette Williams
Early in Blake’s career, he married his first wife Kaynette Williams, 49, whom he first met when he was in high school. The female singer said that he proposed to her in the midst of an exciting time, every day Fancast Country. The couple married in 2003. She served as his road manager early in his career. Unfortunately, the couple ended their divorce in 2006. Kaynette cited “inappropriate marital behavior” as the reason for the breakup. In 2015, she remarried Cody Joe Check.
Miranda Lambert
Immediately after breaking up with his first wife, Blake began dating another country star Miranda Lambert, 39. At the time, she was still a rising star, but now she’s one of the biggest names in the genre. The couple got engaged in May 2010 and married a year later. During their relationship, Miranda made guest appearances on two of Blake’s songs: his 2010 song “Draggin’ The River” and his 2013 song “Bare Skin Rug”. Her group Pistol Annies also appeared on his 2013 song “Boys ‘Round Here”. Blake also co-wrote her 2009 album Revolution, and the pair went on a concurrent concert tour in 2008.
Unfortunately, Blake and Miranda’s marriage ended after 4 years, when they announced their divorce in July 2015. “We move forward with heavy hearts. We are real people, with real lives, with real family, friends and colleagues. We therefore kindly ask for privacy and compassion regarding this very personal matter,” they said in a joint statement sent to Related press.
Although Miranda didn’t talk much about the breakup, she did admit that she “was not prepared” for divorce in an interview in May 2022 with CBS news. “I don’t think there is anyone. And sometimes that’s not good at all,” she said. “I think you have to take that with a pinch of salt and know that, as a singer-songwriter, I am fortunate enough to be able to speak my whole truth. I won’t lie in my music.”
In the years following the breakup, Miranda later married an NYPD officer Brendon McLoughlin in 2019. The couple have been together ever since.
