For the first time, Amazon has a second Prime Day sale event in October. If you missed the original Official Day that took place in July, this new two-day event, called Prime early access discount, will be your next chance to grab things like gadgets, clothes, shoes, home essentials, and even early holiday gifts for less. Engadget will cover all the best tech deals you can get during the event, but there’s some helpful information to keep in mind as you think about what you might want to get during the Sale. When is the Amazon Prime Early Access Discount?
Amazon’s Prime Day “part two” will begin on October 11 and run through October 12. In typical Prime Day fashion, you’ll have to be a Prime subscriber to get access to all of the deals. Offers available during this event. Thankfully, Amazon still offers a 30 days trial for new members, so you can start your free trial now so you’ll be ready when the event arrives.
If you don’t pay for Prime and don’t intend to do so, you should still check out Amazon on Prime Day for discounts available to all shoppers. Those are a very few from the time period back to July, but they did exist. Additionally, as Amazon is likely to use the event to kick off the holiday shopping season, we expect other retailers to follow suit; you can get the same discounts and additional sales for the same period at Target, Walmart, Best Buy, and other stores.
What deals can we expect?
As with Prime Day earlier this year, we expect Amazon to kick things off a bit earlier by lowering the price of some of its own devices. Early Prime Day deals often include discounts on Echo speakers, Fire TV devices, and Eero routers, so keep an eye out for the next few weeks for those items to drop in price.
Normally, Prime Day only matches Black Friday when there are record low prices on these devices. That means you can choose to pick up Amazon devices during the two-day event, or take your chance and wait until Black Friday next month. It is possible that the discounted prices we saw during the event will return on Black Friday – however, due to prolonged supply chain issues and high demand during the holiday shopping period, there is a possibility that You will likely have to wait longer to receive your items if you wait until the last minute to purchase them.
Amazon devices won’t be the only items on sale this Monday Prime Day. The online retailer often discounts things like home goods, clothing, shoes, books, home goods, beauty supplies, and more for Prime Day, along with a ton of gadgets. We’re expecting to see many of the original Prime Day deals return for this October event, so there’s a good chance you’ll be able to get your hands on headphones, laptops, TVs, accessories, and more. gaming accessories, SSDs, vacuums and more at record low prices.
How to prepare for Prime early access discount
Our advice for this fall sale is the same as our advice for the original event – dive into it for exactly what you want to buy. Amazon’s homepage will be a major distraction on October 11 and 12, and you’ll be easily overlooked by deals that may not be worth your time or money. Instead of falling into that trap, make a list of things you hope will be discounted for both yourself and others if you’re shopping early for the holidays.
You can use Amazon’s wishlist feature to collect all your wishes in one place online, or write them all down the old-fashioned way on a sticky note. We like Amazon’s wishlist feature because it will show if something is on sale after you add it to your list. That basically makes the wish list a one-stop shop for you on the Main Day event of the day.
We also recommend using a price tracker like CamelCamelCamel to check the price history for any item you plan to buy in the Prime Early Access Sale. That will help you decide if Amazon’s offer on that particular item is good enough for you to buy it.
