Everything We Know: Amazon Prime Early Access Discount 2022

Surprise! Even though we just celebrated Amazon Prime Day in July, the major retailer has announced second big savings event – Prime Early Access Discount – takes place on Wednesday, October 11 and Thursday, October 12.

Of course, it’s never too early to start writing your wish list for the big sale. Below, we break down everything you need to know before the event.

The Amazon Prime Early Access Sale is the first sale exclusively for Prime members in the fall, before holiday shopping. It features two days of special savings on thousands of items across all product categories.

Amazon has announced that its Prime Early Access Sale will take place this year on October 11 and 12.

Over the past few years, Amazon Prime Day has also extended two days. Before 2020, Prime Day always took place in July, but the sale was delayed in 2020 due to the pandemic, instead taking place in October. In 2021, the event returns to the summer with June, and earlier this year, Prime Day took place in July.

Now, it looks like Amazon is paying homage to the previous pre-holiday Official Day of 2020 with the announcement of a Prime Early Access Sale.

First things first: Make sure you really have Amazon Prime member. You can sign up for a 30-day free trial here, then your membership will cost $14.99 per month or $139 per year. In addition to fast, free two-day shipping, you’ll also get access to Prime Video ad-free music streaming, unlimited photo storage, and unlimited reading. Many of the best Prime Early Access Sale deals, including Lightning Deals (we’ll get to that in a moment), are available to Prime members only.

Once your membership expires, you should also take some time to make sure your payment methods, including default 1-click and delivery settings, are up to date so you can close deals your wishes in a timely manner.

Additionally, Prime members can set up deal alert notifications related to their recent Amazon searches and recently viewed items on Prime Early Access Sale event page on the Amazon app between now and the event. Once the Prime Early Access Sale begins, members will receive a push notification of any available offers.

Alexa will also be able to provide notifications of deals 24 hours before they go live to people when you create a Wish List, add items to your cart, or save them for later use. These items can also be purchased via Alexa.

While some early trading already available, you’ll want to bookmark Amazon deals page, where all the items included in the sale will appear. Be sure to check in early and often on the big day; Prime Early Access Discount deals are likely to sell out quickly and new deals are likely to be added during the sale event.

You’ll also find Amazon’s popular Lightning Deals on the aforementioned page (you can filter your view to only see Lightning Deals using the panel on the left side of the page).

Finally, be sure to follow CNN Underscored on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, and check our website often. On Amazon Prime Day (and every other day of the year), we’re highlighting the best deals around the clock that you won’t want to miss.

Amazon hasn’t officially announced any specific deals yet, but on Prime Day, we’ve seen savings run in bulk from large electronics and appliances to small household items. Based on what we saw last summer, here are some deals we expect to happen this year:

Beats Fit Pro: The previous Prime day, Beats Fit Pro was $159.95 off (down from $199.95).

Apple Watch Series 7: We saw the Apple Watch Series 7 go on sale during Prime Day with up to $100 off.

Samsung’s 55-inch frame line smart TV: During the Official Day of July, The Frame dropped to its lowest price ever.

2021 Apple TV 4K: Our upgrade pick for the best streaming gear was discounted by $70 this past Official Day – an all-time new price.

iRobot Roomba i7 + Vacuum Robot: Many smart vacuum models have been discounted, but this high-tech model has dropped to the lowest price we’ve ever seen.

Sony WH-1000XM4: Our pick for the best overall headphones has dropped to a new low price today in both blue and black.

Amazon’s Prime Access Early sale isn’t the only big sale to look out for, as many other major retailers will likely drop prices as well.

While we recommend Amazon as the go-to destination for many of the items listed above, both Walmart and Target can discount a wide range of electronics, home appliances, and more to roughly the same price. or better) by Amazon. In July, both offer great savings on a wide range of products to coincide with Prime Day.

Electronics giant Best Buy will likely also compete with Prime Early Access Sale deals; in June, the retailer was offering up to $300 on some laptops, $200 on some MacBooks, up to $350 on some gaming desktops, and up to 50% off for some small kitchen appliances.

For those looking for deep discounts on furniture and home appliances, Wayfair is likely to be the place to find the best deals. We predict the retailer will drop prices up to 60% – the same savings they offered in July – on the same day as the Prime Access Sale.

CNN Underscored editors compare prices (and call out deals) between retailers during the Prime Early Access Sale, so know when you see us offering a deal. , that would be your best choice.
