Everrati’s Ford GT40 electric conversion package 800 hp

Governments are pushing to phase out cars with internal combustion engines, and at some point we could see even classic cars hit the market.
There’s a way to save them, though it does require removing the powertrain and installing a battery-electric setup. Some companies have started to offer this service and even some car manufacturers, such as Volkswagen Group, Synthetic engine and Fordjoined.
One full service company, Everrati of the UK, has developed the power conversion system for the Ford GT40. Thankfully, an original GT40 didn’t participate in this transition. Instead, Everrati used one of the great replicas built by Jupiter, Florida-based Superformance.

First announced last summer, Everrati’s GT40 features a tailor-made powertrain that generates a total of 800 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque from a pair of electric motors at the axles. after. Also features a 6.52:1 dual single-ratio reduced transmission and limited-slip differential.
The 60 kilowatt-hour battery runs on a 700-volt electrical system, and Everrati says the unit is designed for endurance on the track. Range is said to be over 125 miles, and a 20-80% charge will take around 45 minutes using a high-speed charger.
Performance numbers include 0-60 mph acceleration figures in under 4 seconds and a top speed of around 125 mph.

To ensure optimal weight distribution and enhance vehicle dynamics, every part of the powertrain, including the battery and steering wheel, uses existing chassis structure mounting points. This results in a 40:60 front-to-rear weight distribution, which is closer to an ideal 50:50 split than what some of the original GT40s used to race. Curb weight at 2,910 pounds is about the same as some original GT40 race cars when filled with fuel.
Where appropriate, several components beyond the powertrain have also been upgraded to meet modern standards (think safety) or help further future-proof the vehicle.
Other convertible models Everrati include 964-generation Porsche 911Land Rover Series IIA and W113 generation Mercedes-Benz SL.
