Kia will also offer the Niro PHEV as the third hybrid or electric model during the FIFA World Cup. Overall, Kia will offer 80 EVs or hybrids during the event. Kia will also introduce the EV6 GT-line as a commercial in partnership with FIFA+, the football governing body’s OTT platform. The trailer, which will be released near the tournament, will feature football legends driving electric cars.

Previously, Kia’s parent company Hyundai Motor has also announced that it will offer eco-friendly cars as official vehicles at this year’s World Cup. Hyundai will offer a fleet of electric and hybrid vehicles, from the Ioniq 5 EV to the Kona hybrid electric vehicle during the event.
