Alejandro Canizares and Thriston Lawrence kept a partial lead after the opening round of the Omega European Masters, where Matt Wallace also got off to a strong start.
The Canizares mixed nine birdies and one bogey on their way to an eight under 62 at Crans-sur-Sierre, a score equal to Lawrence after a spotless start, with the pair buffering two shots past the chasing group.
