Eubank Jr lost a little weight to fight Conor Benn with a KFC crate

Much to the delight of fans, Chris Eubank Jr was seen marching around the O2 Arena with a bucket of family-sized KFC chickens ahead of his clash with Conor Benn on October 8.

In what could be seen as a cheeky dig for his rival, the son of legend Chris Eubank Sr has released footage over His Instagram about his famous fast food craving only 6 weeks before the ring came back. The 32-year-old was at O2 as part of the DAZN broadcast team for YouTube star KSI’s recent event, where he battled two opponents in one night.

A lot has been done with the 157 lbs catch weight given for the fight, but it seems Eubank Jr isn’t too stressed about hitting that number on the scale. This comes as a surprise as he has never competed under 160 lbs and has exercised as high as 168 lbs. With Benn currently fighting at 147 lbs, he will certainly be the smaller man in the ring but perhaps more licensed for the luxury of KFC.

How these cuts and increases will affect the fight is a heated debate among fans, but reported fines of $100,000 per lb more than Limits can make that an extremely expensive item for the naturally larger man in Eubank Jr. What we do know is that he started mind games before their duel, based on already huge expectations.

The importance of the event was confirmed with tickets sold out in less than an hour and Eddie Hearn predict this will be his “biggest PPV ever”. It will be broadcast on DAZN PPV.
